Festival PAAX

A few years ago, Alondra de la Parra imagined an orchestra made up of the best soloists in the world. In doing so, she also imagined creating a festival that could host an orchestra of this dimension, offering the best of classical music and the performing arts. A mixture of the in- credible, the unprecedented, the astonishing. Her idea was for all of this to happen in Mexico. So, in the midst of the pandemic, when nothing seemed even remotely possible, Alondra de la Parra and GNP brought together the dream orchestra and appropriately na- med it “The Impossible Orchestra”. In 2021 Alondra de la Parra and her team began working to make this ambitious project an ongoing reality. The journey was not easy: to find a spectacular location, to coordinate the artists’ schedules so that the best would come, and to cultivate the artistic process in order to set a precedent.

Now that the world has ope- ned up again, come back to life, the PAAX GNP FESTIVAL is birthed, an unrepeatable experience that brings together many of the best artists in the world to create an experience beyond the ordinary. All this, in the gorgeous Mexican Caribbean. The PAAX GNP FES- TIVAL is limitless music: 100 artists from 20 countries, 5 world premieres, commissioned works, symphonic music, ballet and many more surprises. The Festival is not only a showcase of the best music in the world, but an unconventional approach that seeks to present lesser known aspects of the music of these great artists. Hence, this first edition of the Festival brings together some of the most recognized international and national ta- lents, that during five unforgettable days, will allow you to see them and get to know them in all their facets as you never imagined.
